Someone once told me, "you sure like the color blue!"
And the answer is yes. My love of blues and teals come from my love of the water. I grew up on Lake Michigan in Holland. Absolutely amazing city. My mom used to take my sister and I to the beach as much as possible as a kid. White sandy beaches and a body of water that feels like the ocean. My love of being in and around water definitely started then. My husband and I scuba dive and snorkel in the oceans and seas as much as possible. And who can resist boating on any open water whether in a pontoon, speedboat, or sailboat! My goal as a painter is trying to capture those moments of joy, excitement, and reflective times. Category
